It is sometimes hard to take a decision on which tablet to go for, especially as there are two tablets that are ver alike. The Google Nexus 7 Tablet (16GB) appears to be very close to the Kindle Fire HD. The first reviewer for the Google Nexus 7 Tablet actually does a comparison review between the two tablets, but I like what she said, that she had both tablets, but her daughter loved the Kindle Fire, would use it to paint and draw and do other things, but from what I gathered she preferred to be part of the Google network, whilst her family were happy to be with Amazon.

The specs of ‘Google Nexus 7 Tablet (16 GB)’ are:

  • Manufacturer: Asus
  • Product Dimensions: 8.2×5.1×2.2 inches
  • Shipping Weight: 1.4 pounds

“Perfection!”

Words fail me on how much I love this tablet. I will say I’m slightly Google-biased, as I’ve owned Android phones before they were cool (and since), I use all their services (including Google+. Yes, there are people on there), and Google sent me a FREE…Read more

She has listed all the salient similarities and differences between the two tablets, and my own thoughts are just simply what do you intend to use the tablet for. She came to the conclusion that the Nexus beat the Kindle Fire in virtually every area, but it was very close. All these tablets look so good it is hard to make a choice, none of them are perfect, so price is important, and may well be the main factor. However read the reviews, if you can check out the actual product, decide what you are actually wanting the tablet for. I think the Nexus looks a really great mini tablet, great to slip into ones handbag, or pocket, and take it with you wherever you go. You will never be bored, even it you can’t use the WiFi bits. Especially if you have books and games on board.
