Blackberry Playbook 7-Inch Tablet (32GB)

My granddaughter aged 13 years is an avid user of a Blackberry phone, and I have watched her over the past year as she uses her phone to access her Facebook pages and text her friends I am amazed as she sends over 4000 texts a month, all because of BBM. How she would love this Blackberry Playbook 7-inch tablet. The size is ideal, she could take it anywhere with her. It is just the right size to slip into a pocket or handbag and as it weighs less than a pound she wouldn’t notice the weight. She can connect her Blackberry phone to the tablet to access her address book and also to use BBM.

“Awesome tablet”

A bit about me first – I am a techno-nerd. I LOVE gadgets. Large, small, you name it. After eyeballing many tablets, including the iPad, Xoom, Samsung and others I chose the 64GB Blackberry Playbook. Why? For one, because it is the right size. I can put…Read more

“What is everyone’s problem?”

I own the iPad 1. I like it. I don’t love it. The apps are great. But it is large and cumbersome. It doesn’t really multi-task. And I hate the way it handles email. I use a Blackberry Torch phone. I love the way it handles email. And the apps are very…Read more

“Good device – price is the problem….”

If you’re like me – then you’ve probably been waiting for a while for RIM to enter the tablet market with their long-overdue BlackBerry Playbook. RIM’s been touting a couple of features that were a first for any tablet at the time – namely two cameras,…Read more

I think these tablets are amazing, a handheld computer wherever you are. You don’t need a Blackberry Smartphone to access the web, you still get all the great features of a full web, not the scaled down web that the smartphones make do with, and not forgetting great multimedia. But there is something called Blackberry Bridge which allows you to connect your Blackberry Playbook tablet to your Blackberry Smartphone to access your emails and address book. Your smartphone must have OS 5.0 to be able to do this. The reviewers give this tablet a very good right-up, some even prefer it to the iPads. But one thing I have realised is simply if you use a Samsung phone, then a Samsung tablet makes sense, so if you use and like Blackberry phones, then it makes sense to have a Blackberry tablet. I have always used Apple products so it makes sense to stick with them, mainly its because I am familiar with the Operating System and the various apps. Please note that although when first introduced there wasn’t the apps available to be purchased, but this problem has been addressed.
